At Port Moody Naturopathic Health & Wellness we understand the importance of providing you or your loved one with the best care possible. Cancer is a condition that requires a multi-faceted approach in order to address the physical, mental and emotional aspects of this disease. We offer a number of services and treatment options to address the specific type of cancer, as well as the individual needs and wishes of the patient and their family.

We believe in the integrating the best of all aspects of medicine (conventional, naturopathic) with treatments that can be used alone or in conjunction with chemotherapy and/or radiation and/or surgical intervention when and if appropriate. When used in conjunction with conventional treatments, natural cancer therapies have been clinically and scientifically proven to enhance the effects of conventional treatment, significantly reduce the number and severity of common side effects, improve quality of life and reduce the risk of recurrence. Almost all natural cancer treatments at our clinic are evidence-based and aimed at reducing tumor burden, strengthening the body’s natural health defenses, ensuring optimal detoxification & elimination of toxic load and providing adequate nutritional, mental-emotional and spiritual support.

Whether your goal is to prevent the occurrence or recurrence of cancer, or to treat an existing cancer diagnosis, we provide a comprehensive assessment for every patient for both diagnostic and prognostic (monitoring) purposes before and at various times during and after treatment. This may include blood work, live blood analysis (aka darkfield microscopy), nutritional analysis, saliva and/or urine tests (designed to detect specialized markers to determine the risk and progression of cancer), along with physical examination & frequent consultation.

Dr, Sharon Gurm, ND (Naturopathic Physician) has a special interest in integrative cancer therapies. Dr. Gurm frequently attends educational workshops and training seminars in the US and internationally to learn about the latest advancements in cancer treatments. She is pending board certification as a physician of Integrative Cancer Therapies (ICT) from the American Board of Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine (ABAARM).
